The Czech koruna is Czechia’s currency. Do not confuse today’s exchange-rate analysis with the CNB’s historical exchange-rate commitment; an old policy level is not a current trading guarantee.

Monetary-policy framework
The Czech National Bank describes a managed exchange-rate float as consistent with inflation targeting. The exchange rate can help economic adjustment, and central-bank communication matters alongside interest-rate expectations; the euro relationship is not a permanent fixed parity.
What to monitor
Study Czech inflation, wages and production with European manufacturing and demand scenarios. A weaker external outlook could offset domestic inflation news. Record what a release changes relative to expectations, and compare the expected CNB path with the ECB rather than assuming one regional direction.
Currency relationships
CZK strengthening relative to EUR lowers EUR/CZK. USD/CZK includes both koruna-specific and dollar-specific changes. Similar business-cycle exposure does not imply constant correlation with PLN or HUF; policy divergence can move these currencies differently even during the same European news event.
Risks & practical checks
Use actual executable spreads rather than central-bank reference rates for trade planning. Historical intervention episodes deserve context, not an assumption that the same support will recur. Allow for unexpected announcements and test whether your strategy remains viable after financing and transaction costs.
